I was SO excited to complete this trip - I got so many essentials with my coupons, bringing my subtotal to a mere $1.22!!!!!!!!!! (My total OOP with tax was $5.37)I felt like a coupon nija or something. OMgosh i am a dork. whatever, I LOVE saving us so much money, and we had to have to cat food, litter, and wine (TOTAL necessity, right? wine?). And I am making turkey burgers tonight, hence the ground turkey. And do you know what is crazy? I SPENT MORE MONEY on TWO HEIRLOOM tomoatoes yesterday than I did on all this loot. Wow. And I even got the fresh mozerella for our Caprese. I can't wait - time to make dinner :-))))

Holy Coupons - $0.37 OOP!!!!!!! Publix Rocks 7/23

Sometimes a picture (or two!) is worth a thousand words!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Going to the Beach $1.44 MM at Publix!!

Time for a mini-vacation - I met my family at Fripp Island for a couple days. Before I headed out I had to buy some supplies for myself because I knew that shopping on the island combined with no couping would be very expensive. So I made this quick trip and actually MADE $1.44!!!!!!!

1 Arnold sandwich thins
2 schick razor 2-packs
5 Pure Protein bars
3 Smart Balance milk 1/2 gallons
1 12 pack Deer Park bottled water
1 large bag of ice

Publix 7/18 $11.42 OOP

This trip I was on a mission to buy chicken, ground beef, starbucks coffee, fresh mozzerella, sour cream, mushrooms, and cat food. I would have spent $30 + if I had just bought those items with no coupons. The Bic razors gave overage again, and I had coupons for the rest of my items. What savings!!!!!!!! I used $63 in coupons.

$10.97 OOP Publix Bic razor MM's 7/14/10

This was an awesome couponing trip! On this morning I had stopped by the recycle bins to hopefully score Sunday papers and there were 3 big bundles of Sunday paper cartoon sections. And they ALL had full sets of inserts. YAY. So i got at least 60 sets. And this came just in time for the Publix BOGO sale of the Bic razors because, with the $3 insert q from the 7/11 SS each pack is a $0.50 MM!!!!! So I got us totally stocked up, got my wine, some food for the cats, and finally got to use my Pilot coupons to score free pens. I also had coupons for pretty much everything I bought. The one mistake i made was I forgot my Riteaid $5/25!!!!!!!!!!! That is like my #1 pet peeve. uhhh! My subtotal would have been $1 had I not forgotten that darn q. grrrrr. but instead it was $6 - and my cute cashier, Brian, was like "how can you be mad??" and i was like, " you are right! i still did great! thanks for reminding me!" The lady behind me had been frowning when she saw the huge stack of q's i gave brian to scan, but when my subtotal went from $140-something to $6-something her jaw dropped and she was just like "Wow." I think she wanted to discuss coupons after that! LOL>

Publix 7/11/10 $13.95 OOP

I was going to make a "peach thyme galette" recipe last night, and needed almond flour ($12 for that little bag - holy smokes!!!!!!!!!!!). Since it was so expensive I formulated a coupon scenario to use overages - I think it went great!I even got a pound of xlg shrimp for dinner and plenty of other essentials. I should have held off on the kashi cereals, though, because I could have gotten them for even $1 less at another time (if I would have had my other coupon)- and if I had waited my subtotal would have been $2 less. But that is OK because I finally returned those Pantenes and gotalmost $9 back in cash. I love couponing!!
Oh, and the latest cashier gossip is that Shauna got Jonny and Billy in some kind of major trouble at work- But now Jonny has a new girlfriend so he is moving on with his life. Not to mention Shauna no longer works there (I will miss you, Shauna! You were my favorite cashier!!!)As the WOrld Turns - in Publix on Folly ROad - LOL!! I love talking to my high school cashiers and bag boys - they are so nice and it is so refreshing to hear their perspective on life.

Publix 7/9/10 $11.99 OOP

I ran to Publix this time to get some ingredients for a recipe I was making -
So it wasn't a real couponing trip. I used a FREE q for the Kraft Homestyle Mac n Cheese to get my subtotal higher. I used a FLIP produce q. the Pegiree and RA $5/$25 were my O-P's. and the Emerald trail mixes are $0.10 right now with q's, another good item to get my subtotal up and simultaneously stock our pantry with something we eat freqently. I also had a $3 wine winetag q. So I got my OOP down to $11.99, and without q's it would have been right at $30 - not bad!!

7/7 Publix $ OOP13.82

This was a cat food and cat litter run - The Purina One is on sale BOGO ($5/pc) this week, so I was glad I had the $2 q's -
I also had a $1 litter q. Then the pure protein bars are $.25/pc with my $1 q's. John llooves those. There is a $0.50 FLIP for veggies right now - so I had that - rare to havea produce q! - And i had a $3 wine tag (for wine!!).The O-P's were the Pegigree and schick, and the RA $5/$25.If I would have bought only the items I came for, no O-P's, and used no coupons - my total would have been with tax over $40! So, I saved around $28 this trip using couponing. Thank you, coupons!

7/6/10 $8.50 OOP Publix

This was a quick trip to get my ingredients for my butternut squash soup -
I used about $32 in q's to get overage to help pay for everything. The Pedigree q's are giving $1.40 overage/can, so that is nice. The Bush's beans are a favorite for us and they were on BOGO so i went ahead and got 2 cans because the price was great. The BIC lighter was only $0.74 with the q so it was the righ ttime to pick one up - we use them all the time! Lipton onion soup mix, another staple in my pantry, was on sale, too, so I got that. Oh and the Hefty foil pan was $0.50, perfect to have on hand for taking potluck-style dinners.

7/3/10 Quick Banana Pudding Trip $2.47 OOP

I had to quickly buy the Nilla wafers and bananas for the pudding I was making for the 4th of July - So i grabbed a Nabisco q and my 2 Kraft mayo q's for the overage, making my total OOP $2.47 - It would have been about $5 just to buy the bananas and cookies so I was glad to use the q's!
