Publix 4/26, $125 in coupons!!

This was from the Mt. Pleasant Publix - They are so much nicer than the Folly road one. Tons! Anyway, the overage providers were the Zantac, Schick, Beneful, and the Kmart $10/20. I had a ton of great coupons to use PLUS PUblix was having a great sale that coincided with a lot of my q's. I loved getting the new reuseable bags, too. My subtotal was $10.64 - but it would have been only $5.64 if I hadn't forgotten to give them my Scrubbing Bubbles q. Oh well, i won't return it because these cashiers/baggers were so nice and SO happy for all my savings. Thanx, Mt P Publix!

Comissary trip #2, April 27 - $21 Classic Peg!

All I can write, without getting into the entire, crazy story - is that DESPITE the horribly dense/coupon-hating/whacked-out/confused and slightly rude cashier and the 45 minutes it took to check out (!!!!!) it was a blast. I thank you, Chandler, for "hosting" me on the base again. I really appreciate it! BUT OMG, and I know you feel the same, I will NEVER forget this trip (or Marie Welch!)as long as i live. That cashier was as nutty as squirrel SH#T - HA!- and equally rude/stupid. But mixed with an unexpected touch of kindness?!?! We never knew if we were coming or going with that woman - LOL!!!!!!!!!!! uhhhhhhh . . .anyway - all these goodies, surviving that cashier, no MP, and only $21 oop made for a VERY successful Comissary Trip #2!!!!!!! Chandler, you have GOT to post a pic of your haul - you must have bought 3x's as much . . and if we only had a picture of us, our groceries, and the Elantra . . . .What the F were we thinking??????? "Classic Peg," TO THE MAX.

How do I love Tar-shay? Let me count the $6.82 ways . . .

Target rocks for couponers. And that is all there is to say. I got $2 in overage for buying all this Snuggle, the Tide and Motrin PM were free, the Visine gave me $5 in overage, the Vaseline Sheer infusion cost me $.75 for THREE - and I got 2 (only 1 pictured)new Covergirl makeups that i needed. I used $99 incoupons!! isn't that crazy? Let Proctor and Gamble (and whoever makes Visine?)pay for your laundry, makeup, and moisturizing needs - they don't mind!!!

WAGS is "feelin' hot hot hot,"

Time to do the "Walgreen's is having a good week" dance! 4 Free shave gels, 31 PACKING TAPES and 4 (mom's) hair dye! Feelin' hot hot hot!!!!!!!! LOL . . .
Anyway - to get into these deals I did 2 transactions, buying 1 package of maxipads @ 0.99 to generate a $3 RR, making it a $2 MM, which i would in turn roll to buy the shave gel and hair dyes. The shave gels generated $3RRs, so then I would use those to buy the maxipads.. . and on and on . .THAT'S HOW I ROLL, haha . . knee-slapper. The tape is just free with the coupon. Bottom line is $5 OOP - which i would have gladly paid to get mom 4 boxes of hair dye or all that packing tape - but to be able to get it ALL for $5 is awesome. Thanks, WAGS!

Taking a (coupon) vacation. . .

John and I got to head out to the beach for a week - It was so absolutely gorgeous. We were right on the shore! I only shopped at the grocery on the island (because i did not want to leave our retreat for one second!), and even though their prices were practically the same as our mainland groceries, I was ASTOUNDED at how much money I spent without using coupons. One evening inparticular I served dinner for six, costing over $80!! And it was just Stouffers lasagna, some Pillsbury Savorings, bagged salad, a bakery cake, some ready-to-peel shrimp ($23 for the shrimp alone - but so damn delish!) - nothing extravagant or fancy. Anyway, it felt weird to actually spend money. But, I have to say, it was entertaining in an odd way. It was like stepping back in time to my old self, shopping and just dishing out the cash at the grocery. "Reflections . . .by Brooke Whitmore," LOL!!!!!!! Where's my pina colada? I wish I was still at the beach!!!

Thank you, KNOX !!!!!! xoxoxo

Once my Publix giftcards were used up I just had to look back and take in the scope of what the Knox q's had provided. In addition to everything pictured in this collage - my Knox q's also paid for:

2 16 oz Coffemate creamers
1 avacado
1 bag of baby spinach
1 bag of tortilla strips salad toppers
2 Yoplait yogurt 4-packs
1 big gulp of Woodbridge chardonnay
11 Schick razors (travel size 2-packs, overage provider)
1 $50 BP gas card
1 box Hefty lawn bags (reg price $14.50)
4 Marie Callender Pasta Al Dente dinners, and
5 YoPlait greek yogurts.
2 McCormick spice grinders
1 Gallon Publix skim milk
3 Jumbo boxes Kelloggs Rice Krispies cereals
1 All laundry detergent
3 120z packs Buddig lunch meat
2 bags Fast Fixins frozen chicken fingers

Craziness!! I actually bought the Knox q's online, spending about $15-$20, I think. But it was obviously well worth it.

Publis 4/12 $1.20 OOP and FINAL giftcard use

All this for only $1.20 - the LAST $1.20 from my $80 in Publix giftcards that the knox overages provided -we really needed the milk, coffee creamer and yogurts, I will sell the Prevecid, but the REESE cups are just for pigging out, i guess!!! LOL I wish it could be Free Pineapple week every week :-)

April 12 Mt. P Publix 1st try $3 OOP

I was in Mt. P to get my taxes done and decided to try their publix on my way out . . and I had a really good experience. The cashier i had was very friendly, coupon-friendly, and quick. I got some more schick overage and purchased the following for only $3 . . .

1 pineapple
1 gallon skim milk
2 Schick razor packs
1 Woodbridge chardonnay
4 Yoplait 4-packs
4 Prevacid 14ct boxes

They were out of Coffeemate and Pepperidge Farm goldfish, though, unfortunately. Otherwise I would have stocked up on my favorite S'Mores goldfish and fat free hazelnut creamer . . .I will have to get a raincheck today :-)

TARGET April 8 KY overage ;-)

OK this is one of those "waving the twix bar" couponing moments . .
Target, Thursday afternoon, I had 6 Tide to Go, 4 Bandaids, 15 KY's, and set of king size sheets. . . . and coupons for all of them.
The sheets coupon was a 20% off Target q, and the other q's were all overage-providers. The cashier, a nice man named Walter, was obviously very embarrased when he scanned my KYs - and then when he had to begin scanning my coupons and call the manager to do the overrides it was totally making him sweat. So, me being me, I just had to keep talking to try to make the situation less awkward, and then I finally just said what was on everybody's mind - "I'll bet ya'll are thinking I am a really weird lady, coming through your line with all these coupons, these sheets, and ALL THIS KY!!!" and then the manager and cashier just cracked up laughing, thank goodness. I explained to them my couponing and they were completely on board at that point. Very funny!!

April 5, 2010 Publix BP gas card deal is back!!

I was so happy that Publix extended their $10 off BP $50 gas card promotion. I was able to use my overage and a $10/$50 Kmart q to buy the following:

2 16 oz Coffemate creamers
1 avacado
1 bag of baby spinach
1 bag of tortilla strips salad toppers
2 Yoplait yogurt 4-packs
1 big gulp of Woodbridge chardonnay
11 Schick razors (travel size 2-packs) overage provider
1 $50 BP gas card
total i paid $20.92

Isn't that awesome?!
I only have about $5-$7 left on my Publix giftcards at this point. I started out with $80 about a month ago. So, before this $20.92 transaction I had only spent $53 - and over 4 weeks that averages to about $14 spent per week. It's so interesting to me, and amazing that our cost of groceries and household items has gotten so low. Love it!

Happy Easter! $2.82 OOP at Publix 4/2/10

I love love love my Publix. Can you even believe I was able to provide so much for us for so little? I used $65 in coupons this trip. I was so happy they accepted the EarthFare $1 Easter Lily q's. What a score! The only item in this whole transaction that is not something we would ever purchase otherwise (other than to get overage) is the Bob Evan's side of mac and cheese.

Publix April 1st - $4.55 OOP

I had to rush to Publix this day because our yard guy was here to work but he had no lawn bags to take away all the leaves. So I gathered a few coupons to create some overage while buying a box of 64 large Hefty refuse bags. Priced at $14, I only spent $4.55 (including tax!) on the lawn bags and got, in addition, (4) Marie Callender Pasta Al Dente dinners, and (5) YoPlait greek yogurts. Not bad at all!!
